Thomas Wingard – Realtor

Thomas graduated from College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Commercial Real Estate. He joined the Southeastern Family Homes team in 2013 as a sales broker. Thomas has broad knowledge and experience in residential construction, project development and sales. Outside of work, Thomas and his wife enjoy serving their community by volunteering with local Middle and High School youth programs.

Southeastern Family Homes was started almost 30 years ago in Augusta, GA. The company has earned a reputation of developing high quality residential communities, with homes priced from $250,000 to more than $2.5 million dollars. Each home we construct is a testament to our mission to build with excellence. From the drawing board, our homes are engineered to last a lifetime with 1) foundations engineered for seismic zone 2 with more rebar and concrete than required by local codes 2) Quick-tie cable anchor system that creates a direct connection between the roof and the foundation, greatly increasing the home’s ability to stand up to inclement weather 3) The foundation stem walls are filled in every cell, unlike the typical foundation often filled only in locations were rebar is present 4) soil is tested to insure it will hold proper bearing for the home 5) anchor bolts  are installed to connect the home to the foundation even though the Quick-tie system could replace it simply to insure the home is impeccably strong 5) treated sheathing lumber is used at the ground level to protect against future decay

Instead of building you a stripped-down home and then selling our customers the finishes back as expensive options, we break from the typical process and build what we believe our buyer’s rally want in every home we construct. Additionally, we then manage any upgrades through a simple and affordable cost-plus process that helps not only to truly customize your home but also to do so in a way that passed the value back to you while eliminating the “sticker shock” that often comes with upgrading a new home.
